No one who takes on the national news media ever wins. HOWEVER, I believe when Mr. Trump gains the White House, he can neutralize them greatly. Were I president and dealing with a hostile, totally unreasonable national media, every time I held a press conference or briefing, I would: 1-Limit the number of hostile national news media representatives allowed to attend. But I would not eliminate them altogether. Just diminish the number given access. 2-PERSONALLY invite to every news briefing/conference reporters from medium and small local news markets, since they tend to be less overtly biased, more positive and less likely to inject their opinions into their reports. 3-Strive to ensure those local media reps comprised AT LEAST 50 percent of media reps at every news conference/briefing. After a time, the difference in tone of the small-/medium-mareket news coverage compared to the national main-stream media coverage would be striking. Positive v. negative. Chances are, the national media ultimately would be embarrassed and pressured to back off. Just thought I'd offer you this idea. No one who takes on the national news media ever wins. HOWEVER, I believe when Mr. Trump gains the White House, he can neutralize them greatly.
Were I president and dealing with a hostile, totally unreasonable national media, every time I held a press conference or briefing, I would:
1-Limit the number of hostile national news media representatives allowed to attend.
Just thought I’d offer you this idea.
